Jami and I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Danielle Breda and Derrick McIsaac.

Yes, it’s really happening today!

Danielle knew the right words to get him to smile… a lot!

anticipation…

It’s no secret that I adore the children at weddings.

This was just magical!

Cupcake cutting. A twist on the traditional that worked so well!

Done with love and affection, of course :)

Everyone had a great time and it was so nice to see just how much Danielle and Derrick are loved.

Stay tuned. Gallery is on the way!

Jami and I had the absolute pleasure of shooting the wedding of Patrick and Dee this past weekend. From start to finish, it was a great day filled with smiles, laughter and completely amazing colors and light! They were such a dream to shoot and everyone at the wedding had a great time.

Watching Dee and Patrick interact throughout the day was so fun! They truly enjoy each other and it was almost impossible to shoot them without smiles on their faces.

It was wonderful to connect with the wedding party and old friends as they danced and celebrated the couple.

Their family and friends were having an equally fun time and it was apparent that there was a lot of love for the two of them that day!

There was so much laughter and happiness at the wedding. I love that! Even the ceremony had some funny, memorable moments and yes… we caught photos as well!

Ophelia

Thursday, August 19th, 2010

It’s been years in the making, but Rita and I finally set a date to work on her vision of the Millais painting, Ophelia. We had kicked around a few different locations, finally settling on one that I came across during another shoot. Rita and her grandmother constructed the dress and off we went! I was impressed that she was so willing to walk through muck and bugs to do this and I did my part, getting into the water up to my chest (thank you Slik for making a ridiculously sturdy tripod since my camera was an inch above the water). More photos to follow but here’s a first look.

I said Jon

Sunday, August 8th, 2010

I had the pleasure of meeting and shooting with one of my favorite photographers, Jon Madison, who was in the area for the wedding of Josh and Ashley. I’ve known job since the early days of Flickr before most people even knew what it was. I actually miss those days when it moved a little slower and you could get to know the other photographers, their styles and why they had the photo love to begin with. I promised myself that I’d meet the man before my end of days and the meeting didn’t disappoint.

I had a pleasure shooting some of the pre-wedding pix with Jon and have a new appreciation for second shooters. I’m not sure I’d survive as one because I want to get every shot (but I did my best to hang back and stay out of his way while he did his thing!). Gallery has been uploaded and links sent.

I can’t wait to catch up with Jon and his family again when the day is a little slower and we can just wander with a full arsenal of cameras. His weapon of choice is film. I’d a digital guy for the most part. Good and safe travels, Jon! Until we do it again….
